Bee Bops & Lollipops Proudly Joins in the Fight Against Cancer
Our family has recently been touched by cancer as my dad has been battling the disease for the last several months. Dad has been undergoing intense radiation treatment, but not without humor! He is incredible, in fact, pulling priceless pranks on his radiology technicians and truly taking his treatment in stride with incredible joy and humor! My dad has always been my hero, but as of late he has redefined my idea of heroism. Although my dad is not battling breast cancer, he is battling cancer nonetheless and we can all agree that we need to fight until we find a cure. Though we face this disease we do not face it alone, with our faith and the amazing strides toward a cure we believe that we will not be beat by cancer!
Cancer touches too many people, and chances are that you have been touched in some way or another by this horrible disease. In support for the fight against breast cancer I participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk this weekend. What a beautiful day it was! Our team was generously sponsored by the Washington State Troopers and as a whole, including donations from Bee Bops & Lollipops, we raised a great amount of money in the effort beat breast cancer. By raising the money to support the American Cancer Society's fight, we are helping fund groundbreaking research, and funding public awareness campaigns in efforts to ensure all women have access to mammograms and free programs. Next year we're planning on making an even bolder statement by all wearing pink tutus! Yes, TUTUS! What better way to show love and support for those who’ve beat and those who continue to battle this disease than proudly wearing BB&L pink tutus!
Here are a few snapshots of our day. The day was filled with lots of pink, lots of love, lots of warm hearts (and cold hands), and more encouraging than anything, lots of optimism!
Our Team

Check out Patty! She's the survivor whom we all rallied around. She is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside!

What's better than oodles of PINK, a go-green bag and a warm cup of Starbucks coffee for a walk like this? Nothing! Except perhaps pink tutus! Not even a few raindrops would dampen my spirits. A truly beauiful day!
