What a year it has been!  On this very weekend, one short year ago, BeeBopsandLollipops.com was launched.  The time working up to the launch seemed endless and proved exhausting, yet well worth every ounce of energy I put into it.  Knowing full well that we were about to take a giant leap (not to mention a significant risk), we followed through with this little dream I'd long had.  With the support of Jacob, my husband, Bee Bops & Lollipops was born one short year ago. 

 As a few of my close friends know, when BB&L launched I made 100 little wishes as to what the first year should hold.  I figured that if each of those wishes came true then Bee Bops would, in fact, be a success.  Even with the economic turmoil, Bee Bops has stayed afloat and I owe so much thanks to so many people.  My faith and friends have been monumental in the growing of Bee Bops during this first year.  As we celebrate our one year birthday, each of the 100 wishes I had made have come to fruition (as of yesterday!).  In addition to the website, we are a brick & mortar location and our clientele continues to grow.  We continue to strive to meet the needs of each of our customers as we treat them respectfully as individuals.  The personal relationships I've built with people all the way across the globe was something I hadn't expected, and what a joy it is to get to know our shoppers on a personal level.  It seems as if every person has a special reason for coming to us!  I love it!  I love Bee Bops and I love my husband for supporting my little turned 'lofty' dream.  And I love all my dear friends & Father above for blessing me so very much.

October is breast cancer awareness month and we at Bee Bops & Lollipops are doing a fun and fashionable promotion to increase breast cancer awareness and fund breast cancer research.  We have purchased oodles & oodles of Pink Ribbon BabyLegs.  10% of the proceeds of each pair we purchased was donated to Susan G. After having a wonderfully fruitful summer of weddings, Bee Bops & Lollipops was invited to one of the premier wedding venues in the area, Hidden Meadows, to feature our bridal tutus and gowns at Hidden Meadow's seasonal open house.  What a pleasure it was to connect with the lovely owners of Hidden Meadows and hear the feedback and joy from the many brides.  There's nothing more wonderful than helping a bride-to-be on her special day by outfitting the flower girls, the bridal party and even the bride herself for such an event.  It was definitely an evening to remember!  Thank you Tracy at Hidden Meadows for the wonderful opportunity!  I cannot wait to outfit the many excited brides with whom I met! 

Cancer touches too many people, and chances are that you have been touched in some way or another by this horrible disease.  In support for the fight against breast cancer I participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk this weekend. What a beautiful day it was!  Our team was generously sponsored by the Washington State Troopers and as a whole, including donations from Bee Bops & Lollipops, we raised a great amount of money in the effort beat breast cancer. By raising the money to support the American Cancer Society's fight, we are helping fund groundbreaking research, and funding public awareness campaigns in efforts to ensure all women have access to mammograms and free programs.  Next year we're planning on making an even bolder statement by all wearing pink tutus!  Yes, TUTUS!  What better way to show love and support for those who’ve beat and those who continue to battle this disease than proudly wearing BB&L pink tutus!

Here are a few snapshots of our day.  The day was filled with lots of pink, lots of love, lots of warm hearts (and cold hands), and more encouraging than anything, lots of optimism!

Have a look at these two precious peanuts and their adoring mommy and daddy. This is sweet and perfect Alexandra Paige & her equally perfect brother Austin Joseph.  Allie & Austin's mommy & daddy are dear friends of ours and we were thrilled when they announced that they were expecting not one but TWO babies.  And when the babies arrived it seemed perfectly fitting that Allie have a little BB&L bow atop that tiny soft head.  The perfect distinction between the two.  Believe it or not, Mom & Dad, Joe & Jula are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside!  They are a true match made in heaven and parenting their two new beauties has been truly natural for them both.  Welcome to the world sweet Allie & Austin.  Congratulations Joe & Jula.  We simply adore the two new peas in your pod!
